Established in 1985, Big Banana Holding Co Ltd opened its iconic location, “Pizzas in Paradise” as the first in a chain of restaurants owned by the Big Banana Group. Since then, “Pizzas”, as it is more affectionately known by locals, has established itself as the downtown local hot spot and meeting point for friends, families, and vacationers.
With its vibrant décor and welcoming staff, “Pizzas” has become more than just a restaurant – it’s a community hub that’s witnessed countless special moments over the years. Here at Big Banana Group, we’ve crafted an environment that’s not only about good food but also about creating a relaxed space where stories unfold, and connections are made.

Set in historic Redcliffe, Pizzas has long been Antigua’s favourite meeting spot in the capital of St. John’s. Pizzas started with a very small menu of just 4 varieties of pizza, one salad and a baked potato. Today, the menu has expanded to include a wide array of options and daily specials.
At one point in its history, the restaurant briefly relocated to a neighbouring building on Redcliffe Street. However, due to popular demand, it returned to its original location, the Rum Warehouse in Redcliffe Quay.
Pizzas continues to attract locals and tourists, offering a selection of local specialties and bistro-style dishes for lunch, dinner, or a casual hangout. A visit to “Pizzas” is a must in Antigua; our delicious food, excellent service, and welcoming atmosphere are the essence of how we are described locally – “a wicked taste in a groovy place”.

Our renowned airport restaurant, established in 1994, relocated in 2017 to coincide with the opening of the new VC Bird International Airport. The new terminal sparked a fresh approach and a new design concept for Big Banana. Drawing inspiration from Italian architects and custom cabinetry builders, Cierresse, the Big Banana team embraced a new vision.
Since its launch in Spring 2017, our Big Banana Airside spot at the western terminal end offers all the signature Big Banana delights right at your fingertips before your flight. Featuring a diverse menu including our popular fresh salads, sandwiches, famous pizza, and a splendid sushi bar with delectable rolls and sashimi, there's something for everyone.
For those not traveling and in need of a quick snack, our kiosk located landside downstairs near the arrivals exit is always ready to serve up a treat or a drink.
